The oil is heated up till the required levels once the feed oil acid conditioned degummed neutralized and washed comes into the Bleacher through the Bleaching Heater. The high temperature liquid is then transferred into a slurry mixer. Once the bleaching earth is balanced out via the valve dosing system the earth oil is then kept in front of a liquid spray which exists in the mixing chamber. This aids in accelerating the mixing process thus preventing the earth from entering the Bleaching Vacuum System. Any form of residues or other impurities metals and color bodies are absorbed by the earth. With multiple agitating rooms the bleacher operates strictly under vacuum conditions to ensure that there is no air trapped inside the machine. With the help of a discharge pump the dehydrated oil along with the earth substance is transferred into one of the filters to ensure complete removal of earth particles. After this process the filtrate receiver separates the remaining components and sends it to deodorizing through one of the cyclic polish filters.

Filter Management - The above mentioned bleaching mechanism operates with the help of dual filters. These filters can be cleaned and prepared individually for the next shift one by one while the other continues the process. Once the separating device reaches its limit it automatically indicates the user through high feed pressure and is replaced with the other filtration mechanism.

How the cleaning procedure works ?

In the first stage the filter is pressurized with steam to remove residual oil which is collected in the recovered oil tank. The spent filter cake after drying is collected via the bleacher and most of it is recycled. Once the drying process is completed the lower discharge valve mounted on the separator is opened and the leaves are pneumatically oscillated. This helps the spent cake to dismount and discharge with the help of a hopper. After this the filter is blocked and prepared for the next cycle. One common issue faced is clogging which is handled efficiently. Before reaching the line a special coating of filter aid or bleaching earth is applied to seal the separator. In the Precoat Heel Tank the absorbing elements are blended with bleached oil and circulated onto the leaves using a precoat pump. When not in use the cleaned filters are put back in line while other separation systems continue working. The filtered material is reused through the bleacher until the separators are pre coated ensuring clear oil output. Once the complete cycle is finished the filters are switched to new ones.
